Welcome to the website for Stanwick Pocket Park
Stanwick Pocket Park can be found on Raunds Road.
The idea of Pocket Parks originated in Northamptonshire. They are natural areas of countryside which are owned, looked after and cherished by the local community for peaceful enjoyment, the protection of wildlife and to provide access for all.
Stanwick Pocket Park has been created and maintained by local people for local people.
Join us on the first Sunday of the month to help care of our pocket park (mornings)
Not only do we care for the Pocket Park but we also plant spring bulbs around the village, maintain the village flower boxes and clear the brook to reduce the chances of flooding, to name a few activities.
We are self funded, and you may have seen our stalls at various Stanwick events. New for 2024 we are hosting the "Ducky Daffs Day" and an Open Gardens event as part of our fund raising.
Ducky Daffs Day (so called so we do not get sued for copy right) is 23rd March 2024
Racing ducks (the yellow plastic kind) on the brook and celebrating our Daffodils with a trail with prizes, raffles, and other stalls.
We will also be supporting other community and like minded groups and as well as Marie Curie Cancer Nurses who offer a fabulous service.
Open Gardens is 30th June 2024
